Fragrance Analytical Chemist

Infinity Fragrance is seeking a full time, highly-motivated and experienced Analytical Chemist to join our team in either our Myrtle Beach, SC or our Bridgewater, NJ location. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the analytical research and development of fragrances.

Responsibilities Include:
• Perform qualitative and quantitative analysis of fragrance compounds using advanced analytical techniques on a GC-MS for fragrance and QC projects
• Develop analytical methods to identify, quantify, and characterize fragrance ingredients and formulations
• Maintain and troubleshoot the instrumentation to ensure optimal performance.
• Ensure compliance with detailed records
• Maintain accurate documentation of experiments, results, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Monitor trends in analytical techniques and fragrance industry developments to enhance laboratory practices

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in analytical chemistry, with strong fragrance experience
• Proficiency in gas chromatography (GC), mass spectrometry (MS)
• Strong knowledge in ChemStation, MassHunter, AMDIS and NIST
• Familiarity with industry regulations, including IFRA guidelines
• Experience in troubleshooting and maintaining lab equipment
• Strong data analysis and reporting capabilities
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
